These terms are based on the local Konekt legal document.
These Terms and Conditions form an agreement between you and Konekt for your use of the Konekt mobile app, profile tools, discovery features, likes, matches, chats, safety tools, verification features, Konekt Plus, and related services. By creating an account, signing in, viewing profiles, sending content, making a purchase, or otherwise using Konekt, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Konekt.
Konekt is only for adults who are at least 18 years old and legally allowed to use a dating, matching, and social connection service where they live. You may not create an account for another person, use another person's account, misrepresent your age, or use Konekt if you are barred from doing so by applicable law. If Konekt believes an account may be underage, fake, unsafe, or unlawful, Konekt may request verification, restrict access, suspend the account, or remove it.
You are responsible for the information you provide, the security of your sign-in method, and all activity that happens through your account. Your profile information should be accurate and should represent you honestly. You agree to keep your account personal to you and not sell, transfer, lend, or share it in a way that creates confusion, abuse, or security risk.
Konekt is built for respectful dating and connection. You may not harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, exploit, blackmail, impersonate, scam, spam, solicit money, promote illegal activity, distribute malware, scrape the app, collect other users' data, or use Konekt for commercial advertising without permission. You may not post or send content that is illegal, hateful, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, abusive, defamatory, deceptive, violent, non-consensual, or invasive of privacy.
Your profile, photos, prompts, voice content, likes, reports, messages, and any other material you provide are your responsibility. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload or send that content and that your content does not violate another person's privacy, intellectual property, publicity, or safety rights. Do not upload another person's photos, intimate images, identity details, or private information without permission.
To operate Konekt, you give Konekt a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, display, process, transmit, resize, moderate, and otherwise use your content only as reasonably needed to provide, improve, protect, promote, and support the app and its features. This license does not give Konekt ownership of your content. You can remove content through available app tools, subject to backups, safety records, legal duties, and technical limits.
Konekt may use profile details, preferences, activity, location context, account status, safety signals, and app rules to show profiles, order discovery, create matches, and support chat access. Konekt does not guarantee that any profile will appear, that any user will respond, or that any match, date, friendship, relationship, or other outcome will happen.
You are responsible for your interactions with other users online and offline. Konekt does not conduct universal criminal background checks and cannot guarantee another person's identity, intentions, health, conduct, or safety. Use caution, meet in public, tell a trusted person where you are going, keep your own transportation available, and do not send money, financial details, identification documents, passwords, or sensitive personal information to someone you do not know. In an emergency, contact local emergency services.
Konekt may review profiles, photos, messages, reports, account signals, and other activity to investigate safety concerns, enforce these Terms, prevent fraud, respond to legal requests, or protect users and the service. Konekt may remove content, limit features, reduce visibility, suspend accounts, terminate accounts, preserve information, or report serious conduct to appropriate authorities where allowed or required by law.
You agree to use Konekt in compliance with the laws that apply to you, including laws relating to privacy, data protection, harassment, stalking, threats, fraud, defamation, intellectual property, sexual offences, child protection, electronic communications, cybercrime, and consumer protection. For users in Jamaica, this includes respecting Jamaica's adult-use expectations for the app, privacy and data subject protections, and rules against unlawful access, misuse of data, impersonation, threats, harassment, fraud, and non-consensual content.
Konekt Plus or other paid features may be offered through in-app purchase. The available benefits, price, billing period, renewal terms, cancellation process, taxes, and refund handling are shown in the app store purchase flow or platform account settings. Unless required by law or app store rules, purchases may be non-refundable after access is provided. Deleting the app or deleting your Konekt account may not automatically cancel a subscription; you must cancel through the platform that manages the subscription.
Konekt may rely on third-party services for app distribution, purchases, authentication, hosting, analytics, notifications, email, storage, media processing, maps or location support, and safety operations. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices. Konekt is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control.
Konekt, including its name, app design, software, databases, logos, graphics, text, features, and other materials, is owned by Konekt or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, personal, revocable, non-transferable license to use Konekt as intended. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, scrape, sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit Konekt or its data except as expressly allowed by Konekt.
You can sign out or request account deletion through available app settings. Account deletion is intended to remove your active profile and sign you out, but Konekt may retain limited records where reasonably needed for security, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, purchase records, abuse prevention, backup integrity, or enforcement of these Terms.
Konekt is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. Konekt does not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, available in every location, or that every user profile is accurate. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Konekt disclaims implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Konekt is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, reputational harm, personal injury, property damage, or losses arising from user conduct, offline meetings, unauthorized access, service interruptions, or third-party services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
These Terms are intended to be interpreted under applicable Jamaican law where Konekt is operated from Jamaica, offers services to users in Jamaica, or Jamaican law otherwise applies, without limiting mandatory rights you may have under the laws of your location. Before starting a formal claim, you agree to contact support@konekt.dating so the issue can be reviewed. Courts, regulators, or other dispute bodies may have jurisdiction where required by applicable law.
Konekt may update these Terms as the app, laws, safety needs, or business operations change. The updated version will be made available in the app or by another reasonable method. Continued use of Konekt after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
